Role Overview

A leading international hospitality design firm is seeking a highly accomplished Design Director (Hospitality)to join its dynamic Singapore studio. This senior leadership role focuses on luxury hotel design and interior architecture. The successful candidate will oversee high-profile projects, lead multidisciplinary design teams, and foster creative excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Creative Leadership

• Direct the conceptualisation and development of luxury hospitality design projects.
• Guide design direction from initial concept through to delivery, ensuring innovative solutions and world-class standards.

Project Oversight

• Manage multiple hotel and hospitality design projects concurrently.
• Monitor project schedules, design integrity, and budget compliance.
• Oversee coordination with consultants, contractors, and vendors.

Team Leadership

• Mentor and develop junior design staff.
• Foster a collaborative studio culture that values creativity and precision.
• Provide strategic guidance and performance reviews to elevate team capabilities.

Client Engagement

• Lead presentations and design discussions with clients.
• Build and nurture long-term client relationships while upholding design excellence.

Quality Assurance

• Maintain high standards of design documentation and deliverables.
• Ensure all regulatory and quality benchmarks are met or exceeded.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum10 years of experiencespecialising in luxury hotel/hospitality design.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Outstanding portfolio showcasing completed luxury hotel projects with internationally recognised brands.
• Proven experience leading large-scale design teams and complex hotel developments.
• Strong understanding of FF&E selection, procurement, and luxury interiors detailing.
• Excellent design presentation and communication skills.
• Adept at client-facing roles and stakeholder management.
• Deep knowledge of hospitality operations, international trends, and the Singapore market.

• Demonstrated thought leadership within the interior design or hospitality industry.
• Network with global hotel operators and real estate developers.
• Proficiency with industry-standard design software and digital visualisation tools.
